Secrets of a Ghostwriter

Have we got a treat in store for our last day of Fiction for Fun for 2025.

A taste of crime this year comes in the disguise of a ghost writer! Tony Horne, who you will meet on Sunday 6th April, has led a fascinating career, leading up to ghost writing for true crime.

He began his working life broadcasting on Devon Air through University in Exeter, and then onto Plymouth Sound Radio, among others.

For someone who graduated French and Italian, it is a huge change to find himself at the heart of the PC David Rathbone (Raoul Moat) story with ‘Tango 190’. Later he ghosted the poignant memoir ‘If Only’ for Terry West, the brother of Moors murder victim Lesley Ann Downey.

As a writer he specialises in True Crime but is a versatile writer who has turned his hand at writing for a world darts number one, undercover cops and business gurus alike.

Tony is full of so many fascinating tales about how the world of ghost writing works.  In case you are unsure, a ghost writer is one who writes for another, taking their actual words and experiences and turning them into the printed word – nothing at all to do with the supernatural!

Join him for a Sunday morning coffee to hear him spill the beans! Please note that this session will run for 2 hours from 11 to 1 pm, as there is so much for Tony to share, we won’t want to stop.
