Isn’t all fiction a journey into make-believe? Yes, but there are worlds we know and love, and there are worlds re-imagined from our childish fairy tales, now evolved into fantastical illusions of grandeur or dystopia within our minds and book titles.
What a fantastic collection of book titles, “ The Firestone”, “The Seastone” and “The Earthstone.” And with another in the The Element Prophecy series, “The Skystone” will be published this Spring. So whose creative imagination dreamed these enticing fantasy titles up?
None other than author Francesca Tyler, who is based in Salisbury and writes young adult fantasy. She is so passionate about encouraging writers of fantasy that she has her own business, Untold Stories Academy, which offers creative writing support, editing advice, and individual mentoring sessions.
If you are a lover of fantasy and want to hear more about where to find her books and how you can put your fantasy imagination on paper, she will be running a workshop at Fiction For Fun on Thursday, April 3rd from 4 – 5.30 pm, called Creating Magical Words. Be warned the workshop places are limited, so book early here.
We are delighted that after her workshop, we persuaded Francesca to stay on and talk about her amazing journey and share some of her tips for writing fantasy. Join us in listening to this amazing young writer, with tickets now available here. Thursday, April 3, from 6 -7.30 pm.
Francesca will have her books on sale from our in-house bookshop for you to indulge your inner creative self, with Francesca’s help. She will even sign a copy just for you.
